Atletico Madrid have been encouraged in their push to re-sign Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois on-loan for next season.
The Belgian has spent the past three seasons with Atletico, helping them to win the Spanish Liga title last term.
Indications have been that Courtois will start next season with parent club, Chelsea. However, recent developments have encouraged Atletico directors to expect the Belgian to return again for preseason.
In the past week, Mark Schwarzer has confirmed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants him to sign a new contract, while Jamal Blackman has also penned new terms.
With Petr Cech set to stay on, it does appear Mourinho has settled on his keeper stocks for next season and is willing to send Courtois away on-loan again.
