Atletico Madrid are set to clinch the Bosman signing of Fiorentina defender Tomas Ujfalusi.

The Czech Republic international is off contract in June and Florence sources say he has already agreed terms on a pre-contract in the last fortnight.

Sevilla have also expressed interest in Ujfalusi, but Atletico's £1 million-a-year offer is understood to have won the defender's commitment.

Fiorentina chiefs, meanwhile, refuse to give up on securing Ujfalusi to a new deal and are confident he will commit if they can clinch Champions League qualification.
