Atletico Madrid fullback Juanfran has confirmed he turned down a move to Arsenal over the summer.

The wing-back penned a new deal with Atletico last week, but only after rejecting terms from Arsenal which would have quadrupled his previous wage packet.

"It is true that Arsenal made an offer that any player would have been happy to accept, but I'm very comfortable here.

"For me, you know, there is no better club than Atletico," revealed Juanfran.
