Atletico Madrid are finalising a partnership deal with Mexico's San Luis Potosí.

Officials from the Mexican Second Division club are in Madrid this week to sign contracts.

The deal will see Atletico plough €4 million into the club, which could be renamed Atletico San Luis.

Atletico will have first option on San Luis' academy talent and also will exchange coaching and scouting information.

Former Atletico assistant coach Ignacio Ambriz is expected to take charge of San Luis' first team.
