Atletico Madrid are chasing Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Daily Star says despite being ruled out of the Villa's Christmas fixtures with knee and hip injuries, Atletico are looking to secure the £25m-rated ace in the upcoming transfer window according to reports in Spain.

Atletico see Benteke as a potential replacement for the much sought after Diego Costa.
