Atletico Madrid have expressed interest in Alaves midfielder Marcos Llorente.

Marca says Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have not engaged in transfer activity for years although it appears that the Rojiblancos are attempting to bring in Llorente from their local rivals.

The Spanish youngster has earned many admirers on loan at Alaves this season, making the step up from Real's Castilla outfit with aplomb.

However, Real are not in the mood for renewing business relations with Los Colchoneros and consider Llorente a first-team regular in the making, a dream that the midfielder, who is the offspring of ex-Madrid man Paco Llorente and nephew of Paco Gento, maintains.
