Atletico Madrid are pushing to land Porto striker Radamel Falcao.

Atletico see Falcao as a replacement for Manchester City signing Sergio Aguero and will use the cash raised to meet the Colombian's €45 million buyout clause.

Chelsea, Tottenham and Real Madrid were all linked with Falcao last week.

However, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo is determined to get his man and prepared to smash their transfer record to bring Falcao to the Vicente Calderon this month.
