Javier Manquillo is having a medical with Newcastle ahead of a proposed transfer from Atletico Madrid, according to Sky Sports.
The 23 year old full-back spent last season on loan at Newcastle's north-east rivals Sunderland, where he was part of the squad relegated from the Premier League.
