Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez says Antoine Griezmann deserves the Ballon d'Or.

Griezmann hit the winner on Sunday against Rayo Vallecano.

Asked about the Ballon d'Or, Hernandez said: "Of course, he is a very great player and he's shown it for a few years.

"Two or three years ago, he did not get it because he lost the finals of the Champions League and the Euros. With all he has done this year and all that he has brought to his club and his national team, I think he is the number one candidate."
