Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin is under consideration at Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed they're in the market for a new centre-half and has been linked with several names in recent days.
"We are thinking about central defence," said Ancelotti in relation to signings, with the injured Alex having been out since November.
Uruguay international Godin is a new name under consideration at Stamford Bridge. The defender has caught the eye at home and in Europe over the last 18 months and came close to joining Juventus while at previous club Villarreal.
