Atletico Madrid have confirmed their interest in Rennes defender Rod Fanni.
Fanni has been a long-term target for Atletico sports director Jesus Garcia Pitarch.
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo said: "It 's true, there are negotiations now open to take him to Madrid."
