Atletico Madrid coach Simeone shrugs off PSG defeat

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone insists there's no concern being beaten by friendly opponents PSG.

A new look outfit were beaten 3-2 in Singapore by the French champions thanks to a last minute goal.

However, the coach had positive words for his players, particularly the youngsters who acquitted themselves admirably.

"It was a nice pre-season game and you only have to look at how their third goal was celebrated [to know what it means]," he told reporters.

"It is good to compete in games like that and the youngsters were very good again, we came very close to drawing the game.

"We had a good first half without too much possession but with more direct play, but we still created some good scoring chances.

"I think that the old and young players, everyone performed well. You find strength in creating chances and the team did that.

"It is with patience and in continuing to working hard that we will all fall into the same line."
