Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was satisfied with their 1-0 win at Celta Vigo.

His side were 1-0 victors thanks to a lone first half strike from Kevin Gameiro.

After that, there were some sticky spells for the Rojiblancos but all in all, the man in charge was very happy with how things panned out.

"It is a very important victory because it leaves us in a good position and we had to wait a long time for this win," Simeone said afterwards.

"We worked hard and the important thing is that we have shown that we can suffer and come through it. We don't care if we have to suffer difficult moments as long as we pick up a result.

"We faced a team who keep the ball well and who came out for the second half with great intensity so that makes this victory a very good one."
