Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has ruled out a move for his son Giovanni.

Fiorentina striker Giovanno Simeone has emerged as a major talent in Serie A.

"I like him very much as a player. I am happy with the way he is developing in Italy," the Atletico boss commented.

“However, I don't think this is the right moment for us to be reunited together.

“Giovanni needs to continue to develop."

Simeone was also asked whether he would ever consider coaching in Serie A, with Inter and Lazio among the clubs he played for during his career.

“During my life, I will definitely move to coach elsewhere.

“But right now I am very happy here at Atletico and I have decided to stay."
