Atletico Madrid chiefs are considering the sacking of coach Javier Aguirre if his team are defeated by Barcelona on Saturday.

AS says Atletico's amazing form slide has convinced the board to rethink their position of waiting until the summer before making a decision on Aguirre's future.

Veteran trio Radomir Antic, Javier Clemente and Lorenzo Serra Ferrer have all been mentioned as potential replacements for the remainder of the season should Atletico decide to give Aguirre the bullet.
