Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre admits he is a fan of PSV Eindhoven defender Carlos Salcido.

Atletico have been linked with the experienced stopper and Aguirre said of his fellow Mexican: "I like him as a player and I also have the best references of him as a person.

"He is a good player, but we must remember he has just renewed his contract with PSV (to 2012)."
