Atletico Madrid have swooped for former Newcastle United midfielder Emre.
The experienced midfielder has seen his contract at Fenerbahce expire and he has taken the decision to continue his career in Spain.
The 31-year-old will pen a two-year contract at Vicente Calderon once he has completed a medical.
