Atletico Madrid sports chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch admits new signing Ever Banega, the Valencia midfielder, has it all to do to break into Javier Aguirre's first team.

"I am hopeful that Ever can show all the ability that he has," said Garcia Pitarch. "He has already recognised the reasons for his poor performance last season and I cannot see someone who knows his mistakes cannot rectify and improve."
