Atletico Madrid supremo Miguel Angel Gil Marin is in Argentina this week to complete the signing of Sergio Aguero, it has been revealed.

Atletico are keen to secure Aguero to a new contract and DiarioSport says Gil Marin has jetted to Argentina to buy the remaining 10 per cent of the striker's transfer rights which is owned by his former club, Independiente.

Gil Marin also wants to pay the remaining amount of the youngster's original £16 million fee and hopes to shake hands on an agreement with Independiente directors tomorrow.
