Atletico Madrid sports chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin admits they may be forced to sell striker Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian ace is a target for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who tried for him last summer before he left Porto and also made enquiries in January.
With Atletico missing Champions League qualification, Atletico are finding themselves short of cash and will need to sell one of their stars to balance the books.
Gil Marin told Cadena Ser: "The fact of not being in the Champions League hurts us a lot. I would love for him (Falcao) to stay with us and he no doubt feels the same.
"But he will only stay if we have enough income."
