Atletico Madrid are chasing Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Don Balon says Diego Simeone wants to replace Antoine Griezmann with Sanchez should the Frenchman leave in the summer.

Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United at the end of the season and that mega-money transfer could see Sanchez leave Arsenal.

It is said that Simeone will use the cash from any potential Griezmann departure to lure Sanchez to the Vicente Calderon.

The Chilean wants to join a club with more realistic chances of competing for the Champions League trophy.

It is claimed that Sanchez believes Atletico can challenge for Europe's top prize on a more regular basis than Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
