Atletico Madrid captain Gabi insists there's no reason for Antoine Griezmann to leave for Real Madrid.

Gabi has insisted that a transfer to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu would be a sideways move, not a step up.

Pointing to the recent successes of Los Rojiblancos and their growing status as a European giant, the midfielder dismissed the idea.

"Right now, Real Madrid aren't any better than Atletico," he said of the speculation linking his French teammate with a move across the city.
