Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is willing to take a pay-cut to join Atletico Madrid.
The former Sevilla ace is determined to return to Spain this summer with Atletico and is doing all he can to see the deal done.
AS says Atlético coach Diego Simeone landed in Madrid on Saturday and aims to recruit a new number nine as soon as possible. Negredo is the preferred option for both Simeone and the club.
The 27-year-old is prepared to take a pay cut on the 4.5 million euros net that he currently earns at the Etihad Stadium.
