Diego Simeone is eagerly anticipating Atletico Madrid's trip to Australia later this year.
Los Rojiblancos were the fourth and final club announced for the Melbourne leg of the 2016 International Champions Cup which will also feature Italian giants Juventus, Premier League title-chasers Tottenham Hotspur and A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory.
Following the announcement, Atleti boss Simeone revealed his desire to visit Australia and in particular learn more about the affection the people down under hold for the world game.
"The team and I can't wait to come and play in Melbourne and visit a country as exciting as Australia, sharing with the fans its passion for football," Simeone said.
"It's fantastic to be part of such a high calibre tournament with some of the best teams in Europe and the A League's most successful side, Melbourne Victory.
"This competition will form a key part of our pre-season training and will be a great opportunity for me to put my players through their paces ahead of the new season."
The tournament will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) between July 23 and 29 this year.
