Atletico Madrid are lining up a bid for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

Cadena Cope says Atletico see Giroud as a readymade replacement for Chelsea bound Diego Costa.

The France international has been embroiled in off-the-field controversy this season and been linked with a move away.

Atletico are willing to offer €18 million for Giroud, though he has insisted in recent days he wishes to stay.
