Atletico Madrid attacker Griezmann on Chelsea defeat: I wasn't good enough

Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann was upset with himself after defeat to Champions League opponents Chelsea.

Griezmann opened the scoring before Chelsea stormed home through goals from Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi.

"They were better in all aspects. We will have to try to win every game if we want to be in the next round," lamented Griezmann.

"Maybe the team needed a better match from me, despite the goal."

Atletico's former Chelsea fullback Filipe Luis also said: "They use another game system, it's difficult, we're not used to playing with this type of system. We had the game controlled, the draw would have been fair."

On Chelsea pair Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata, he added: "They are great players, we knew they would make us suffer. We always face great opponents and we are prepared to defend them but today Hazard did everything well, he is one of the best in the world."
