The Daily Star says with Mata, 25, and De Bruyne, 22, looking to secure their places in the Spanish and Belgian national squads for next summer's World Cup limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge are becoming a major concern for both.
According to reports in Spain, Atletico boss Diego Simeone is desperate to ensure he has adequate replacements for the expected departure of star man Koke in the new year and has earmarked Mata and De Bruyne.
