Atletico Madrid have moved for AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho.
AS reports Atletico and Monaco have "reached an agreement in principle" for a €45 million deal, although a source close to the Ligue 1 champions say nothing has been finalised.
Atletico are waiting to sign an insurance policy which would cover them against a possible injury, while they also must talk with Monaco about another big matter: Fabinho's participation in the Champions League group phase.
With Atletico banned from registering players until January 1, if Fabinho plays for Monaco it would rule him out for Diego Simeone's side in the knockout phases after Christmas.
Fabinho is also being linked with Manchester United and PSG.
