Alvaro Dominguez has been added to the senior squad at Atletico Madrid.

The Atletico B midfielder impressed in training during international week and coach Javier Aguirre was happy to add him to his senior roster yesterday.

"We are 23 with Dominguez, who is now full time with us. Last year we started with 24, (Thiago) Motta was practically not with us for the entire year, we were left with 23 and we had to dispense with Maniche and we were left with 22.

"I think it fosters competition to have two players per position," said Aguirre.
