Thomas Lemar admits he turned down Arsenal and Liverpool to join Atletico Madrid.

The former AS Monaco winger signed for Atletico during the summer market.

He explained to L'Equipe: "Why did I choose Atletico Madrid rather than Liverpool or Arsenal?

"I am very happy to be here, with my two countrymen (Antoine Griezmann and Lucas Hernandez). Their presence played a lot in my decision. They talked up to me the coach, the staff, the team. It made me want to come here.

"The Premier League, we'll see later..."
