Diego Simeone admits he would like to experience coaching in a number of different countries before his career is done.
The 46-year-old Argentine is making waves in Spain with Atletico Madrid but acknowledges that he must challenge himself further as his time in the coaching caper progresses.
Asked if he sees himself managing in the Premier League, or elsewhere in the future, Simeone insisted that a future move away from the Vicente Calderon is a distinct possibility.
"I'm young, I consider myself a young coach," he told reporters in Melbourne.
"I feel that it is possible. There are many other leagues that would provide some great challenges.
"Of course the English league and the Italian league are attractive for me."
The former Racing Club, Estudiantes, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Catania boss also hinted at perhaps one day juggling Argentina national team duties with his club obligations.
"The truth is nobody has done that before but maybe in the future that could be a real possibility," he added.
"The fact is, the commitments one has with coaching at club level makes it almost impossible but perhaps that will be possible in the future."
Simeone and his Atleti squad are in Melbourne to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Australian leg of the International Champions Cup at the MCG on Friday night.
