New York Red Bull defender Rafael Marquez could be on his way to former club Atlas for a winter loan.
The 33-year old former Barcelona star is keen to play on loan during the MLS offseason with ESPN's Tom Marshall posting on Twitter that perhaps Mexico's Atlas could be the recipients of his services.
"Rafa Marquez will always be our first option. His home is Atlas and it will be all his life," he posted quoting the Atlas vice-president.
Marquez kicked off his career with Atlas back in 1996 before moving on to Monaco in 1999 where he remained until 2003 prior to his shift to Barcelona.
