The Atlanta Silverbacks added another option to their attack today, signing forward Conor Chinn, pending USSF approval.
A third-round draft pick of the New York Red Bulls in the 2010 Major League Soccer draft, Chinn comes to Atlanta after a short stint with another MLS club, Real Salt Lake.
The 6-foot forward didn't make an appearance for Real Salt Lake this season, but he played in nine games for the New York Red Bulls during the 2010 season.
Chinn, 23, was a standout for the Red Bulls during their U.S. Open Cup campaign, scoring three goals in four games. He tallied his first two professional goals in the Red Bulls' 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union, and he gained great acclaim when he scored a goal against legendary Italian club Juventus in an exhibition match at Red Bull Arena.
