Athletic Bilbao president Josu Urrutia feels they can still convince Fernando Llorente to pen a new contract.

The striker is inside the final 12 months of his current deal and being linked with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham.

Urrutia said: "Nobody knows how things will develop. Together maybe we can change his decision. We are open. We'll create a positive environment for Llorente and the rest of the team so they can perform at their best.

"Llorente is a major player for Athletic and we must all strive to have a good atmosphere inside the club."
