Athletic Bilbao president Josu Urrutia is determined to keep hold of striker Ibai Gomez.
Tottenham are chasing a Bosman deal for Gomez.
But Urrutia yesterday said the forward is one of four players in line to receive a new contract with Los Leones.
Tottenham had hoped to sign Ibai to a pre-contract in January ahead of free transfer next summer, but Athletic hope to tie him down before then because they know they will not be able to compete with any Spurs' offer, says the Daily Express.
