Athletic Bilbao coach José Ángel Ziganda admits Loic Remy made the difference for Las Palmas on Sunday.
The former Chelsea striker scored a late winner - his second goal in two games for his new club.
Ziganda declared: "For many minutes, we had control over the game and good opportunities. We had chances to win.
"Then coming into play was Rémy and he has changed everything. But for his personal intervention, the match was not going to be lost to us."
Remy joined Las Palmas on a two-year contract after gaining a free transfer from Chelsea last month.
