Atalanta have splashed out £5 million to sign Reggina midfielder Edgar Barreto.

Barreto has been with Reggina for the last two seasons, scoring five goals in 68 Serie A games.

Following their relegation to Serie B, the 25-year-old decided to move on and has returned to the top flight with Atalanta.
