Atalanta have landed Sampdoria defender Stefano Lucchini.

Centre-back Lucchini was sold to newly-promoted Atalanta on a permanent basis, announced the club.

The 30-year-old will undergo his medical on Thursday morning and begin training with his new teammates that afternoon.
