Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli has played down talk of Italy selection.

Consigli, now 25, has been in fine form for the Nerazzurri so far this season.

"Playing for your country is the dream of every player," the shot-stopper commented when asked about a possible place at the European Championship.

"However, there are goalkeepers who took part in the qualification games and who deserve Euro 2012 more than me."
