Atalanta have announced the sale of midfielder Tiberio Guarente to Sevilla.

The highly-rated 24-year-old was expected to leave after Atalanta's relegation from Serie A last season.

He was attracting interesting from Juventus, Manchester City and Fiorentina, but Sevilla have followed him for several months.

Guarente has signed a five-year contract with Sevilla, which includes a €30m buy-out clause.

Atalanta will receive €5.5m from the transfer.
