Atalanta coach Gasperini hails 4-goal Zapata

Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini hailed Duvan Zapata after his four goals against Frosinone.

Atalanta thrashed Frosinone 5-0 on Sunday.

“Many teams have struggled here, but it all went our way and we dominated the match," Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Duvan Zapata already proved what he could do at Napoli, Udinese and Sampdoria, but now he is finding an extraordinary level of consistency.

“We're trying to make the most of the talent at our disposal. Gianluca Mancini, who got the opening goal, is improving constantly too."

With their current form, can Atalanta make a push for the Europa League or even a top four finish?

“We are trying to do well for the third year running. There are many teams clammed up within a few points, so it is a very balanced race for Europe.

Atalanta are competing among other sides who are dreaming. I think we'll have a clearer idea in seven or eight rounds, as it's too early to tell now."
