Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini concedes Franck Kessie is likely to leave this summer.

However, he insists there has been assurances from the board that they will improve on this season's squad during the transfer window.

Kessie is wanted by Roma, but his agent admits they're waiting for Chelsea to firm up their interest.

Gasperini admitted: "Kessie leaving? There is a club that is doing its job.

"It happened with (Roberto) Gagliardini in January, I know for sure that next year there will be a more competitive Atalanta, for the rest we are already working on it."
