Atalanta coach Gigi del Neri has shut the door on Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati being signed.

"I can rule out Donati's arrival. In 2007 he decided to join Celtic and now he has to respect out decision," said the Coach.

"We are going to sign a new midfielder, but it is not Donati. We are also boosted by the return to fitness of Luca Cigarini and Christian Vieri.

"They have improved a great deal over the last few days and whether or not they start against Palermo on Sunday depends entirely on the system I will adopt."
