Former Atalanta star Claudio Canniggia believes his former club can crack Europe under coach Luigi del Neri.

"I like the way Del Neri makes them play," said the Argentine. "I am a real fan and I think they will go into the UEFA Cup."

Del Neri has based the Nerazzurri's, and before them Chievo's, success on a set of attacking wingers with overlapping full-backs.

"Wingers have always existed, there are those who use them more and those who use them less," explained the Friulian tactician. "I like to use the entire length of the pitch. Let's leave comparisons with my old Chievo, but the philosophy is the same."
