Atalanta sports chief Carlo Osti admits they were beaten by Napoli for Ezequiel Ivan Lavezzi in the summer.
"This summer we tried for Lavezzi in every way - and then he went to Napoli," said Osti. "I am surprised - also because no other club was interested in him.
"He has exceptional qualities and characteristics."
