Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni awarded freedom of Bergamo

Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni has been awarded the freedom of Bergamo.

“Cristiano is a talisman for Atalanta and I see this prize as a recognition for the player and the team as a whole,” city mayor Roberto Bruni stated.

The No 72 is the top Serie A scorer in the history of Atalanta and can extend his record as he is still a regular starter at the age of 35.
