Atalanta attacking midfielder Luca Cigarini is determined to make the most of his latest Italy call.
The uncapped midfielder was named in the Giro Azzurro for just the second time on Sunday after his first call-up in August 2010.
“I’ve got back into the international set-up and I now don’t want to lose this shirt in the future,” said the playmaker.
“I know that it will be hard to find space in the side because I have monuments in front of me like Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi and Riccardo Montolivo, but I’ll give my best.”
He added: “The squad here is stupendous, I know almost everyone and I’ve had no problems settling in.
“I still haven’t spoken at length with boss Cesare Prandelli, but we know and understand each other. There won’t be any problems.”
