Aston Villa's Fabian Delph has revealed that he is not surprised by the sudden rise of his national teammate Harry Kane.
Tottenham striker Kane has scored 29 goals for his club this season and added to that tally by scoring his debut goal for England just 79 seconds into his debut against Lithuania on Friday night.
"I can believe it, he's a really hard worker, great talent, still young, still got time to progress as well," the Aston Villa midfielder told a press conference. "But he'll keep his feet on the ground and I'm sure he'll keep pushing on."
Asked if Tottenham forward would get his vote in the end-of-season Youg Player of the Year awards, he said: "I think he'll get my vote, there's obviously a few contenders. I'll pick wisely and I can't see why I wouldn't pick Harry."
