Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert isn't giving up on their bid for Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

The Birmingham Mail says Villa pursued the South Korean international before their eight-day trip to Texas but could not conclude a deal for the 25-year-old.

But they are expected to make a fresh move for Ki, who has a year left on his Liberty Stadium contract, when they return to Birmingham.
