Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to pay out the contract of winger Charles N'Zogbia, paving the way for the 29-year-old Frenchman to complete a move to Major League Soccer.

N'Zogbia, who joined Villa in 2011 for £10million, has six months left on the original deal he signed with the club after arriving from Wigan Athletic.

The former Newcastle United player has just made two appearances in what has been a disastrous campaign so far for the Villans.

The Daily Mirror is reporting N'Zogbia will look to reignite his career in America should he be granted a release by Villa.
